CSR Jobs
Recently, I shared my disappointment about how few people applied for the position as conference manager. In addition, those who did apply didn’t seem to care about our mission of sustainability. It was quite disappointing and there was a very good comment made about the whole story. An important twist has occurred.
One, we have found a conference manager, named Frank Stevens and he started today. Two, which is of even more importance, is I found out why so few people applied. It seems that the email given jobs@tbli.org was not being checked. When I created the email account for Frank, I discovered there was a great deal of mail in the account jobs@tbli.org. When I downloaded the emails, I was flooded with applicants for the position.
My reaction was that of laughter, foolishness, and relief. It seems many were interested in our mission and wanted to pursue carreers in the field of sustainability. I will be writing all of those who did apply and thanking them. Perhaps we will need their help as TBLI Conference and TBLI Consulting grow. In any event, the problem was administrative and not lack of interest.
